Sacramento Earth Day Festival

Our 4th Annual Festival will be filled with diverse business, non-profit, cultural and government vendors with practical information, goods and services for saving money, living healthier, and protecting the environment. We'll also have great entertainment, activities and cuisine! We're expecting a record crowd of 7,000+. Sustainability is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. 37th Annual Environmentalists of the
Year Awards Ceremony and Reception
Thursday, April 22, 6-9pm
ECOS presents the annual Environmentalists of the Year Awards, honoring those that have done exceptional work in the last year on behalf of the Sacramento regional environment. This year the awardees will be Sean Wirth (individual within ECOS), Mike Wiley and Bob Schneider (individuals outside ECOS), SMUD (business) and WALK Sacramento (community organization).
People may come to meet and greet between 6:00 and 6:30 PM, followed by a half hour heart-warming documentary film about sustainable living called "Nourishing the Kids of Katrina", introduced by filmmaker Dr. Robert Lee Grant who is now a resident of Sacramento. The awards will be presented after the film, circa 7:15 PM and that will be followed by a reception with healthy food and beverages.
